About Us

Who Is Unity?

Founded in 1953, Unity Christian has been transforming lives for more than 70 years and has alumni totaling over 11,000. Our reach extends across West Michigan, the United States, and around the globe. Unity Christian provides a faith-infused, academically excellent high school education – grades 9-12.  

Our Beliefs

  • We believe God is Creator, Savior, and Lord.
  • We believe the Bible is God’s Infallible Word and is the full Gospel of Creation-Fall-Redemption-Restoration.
  • We believe our children belong to God and are instructed to know Jesus as Lord and Savior, to enjoy Him, and to love Him and others.
  • We believe a Christian world view will benefit a person in this life and in eternity and seeks to restore the Kingdom of God on earth.

Who We Are

  • A Christian high school of 740 students with its own Constitution and Board of Trustees. Unity's world and life view is based on the Biblical understanding that all things in Creation belong to God.
  • Unity students are drawn from an area of approximately 300 square miles.
  • Providing faith-infused Christian education with educators who guide students to increase in faith and learning through academic courses, athletics, chapel, music groups, theater, drama, Robotics, Student Council, and academic teams.
  • A faculty of 57, all of whom hold appropriate Michigan teaching certificates.
  • An alumni community now numbering 11,000+.
  • Supported through the prayers and gifts of 6000+ households.
  • A campus located at 5900 48th Avenue, Hudsonville.
  • Providing student transportation from Ottawa and Kent County communities.
  • Our test data – our students’ academic achievement places Unity among the best of Michigan schools.
  • Students are prepared for lives of service to engage culture with a faith-infused mindset in all areas of life.
